Questions owners ask before we begin.

If yours isn't here, call and ask. Your advisor is glad to talk it through before you share a single document.

Getting started

Is Kingdom Kapital right for my business?

How does an engagement begin?

With your goal. We learn what you're building toward, whether that's a private equity sale, taking the business public, an expansion, or refinancing debt. Then we read the current environment and your advisor builds a long-term plan to get there.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

We work with established businesses across retail, construction and the trades, transportation, healthcare, staffing, e-commerce, and professional services. If you don't see your industry here, call and ask.

What do you look at in the analysis?

We review cash flow, EBITDA, existing debt, and true debt-service capacity. We finish that analysis before we recommend anything, so the recommendation reflects what the business can actually carry.

What if the business isn't ready for new capital?

Then we'll tell you and show you how to get there. Sometimes the plan starts with strengthening cash flow or EBITDA, and the right facility comes later.

Can you help a newer business?

Most facilities look for an operating history, and a term loan generally calls for at least two years in operation. An asset-based facility can work when the asset supports the transaction, and an SBA facility can work when you have time and a solid plan. Your advisor will tell you which paths apply.

Structure and cost

How is a facility structured and priced?

Which facility is right for my business?

The analysis decides that. In most cases it's a term loan or an asset-based facility, and each capital solution suits a different situation. Your advisor explains why a recommendation fits and what it would take to qualify for a better one.

What will it cost?

Cost depends on the facility, the institution, and the financial position of the business. You'll see the full cost, the payment schedule, and the terms in writing before you sign.

What fees should I expect?

Many facilities carry an origination or closing fee, and some deduct it from the proceeds. Every fee appears in the written terms, so you'll know the amount you'll actually receive before you commit.

Can I repay a facility early?

That depends on the facility. Many term loans and lines of credit allow early repayment, while others carry prepayment terms. Your advisor reviews those terms with you before you sign.

Process

How the process runs.

What do I need to provide?

You provide financial statements and a brief application covering cash flow, existing debt, and what you're building toward. The online application asks for your three most recent bank statements. Larger transactions may also call for year-to-date financials or tax returns.

How long does it take?

Timing follows the facility. Speed matters, and the right facility can move quickly. Bank and SBA facilities take longer because documentation drives the timeline, so your advisor sets a realistic schedule at the start.

Who will I work with?

You'll work with one dedicated advisor, from the first conversation through closing and beyond.

When is my information shared?

Your advisor walks you through the long-term plan before any information is shared externally. The security of your private data and information is our top priority. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Am I committed once I apply?

No. You'll review the terms in writing and decide whether to proceed.

After closing

The plan continues after closing.

Does the relationship end at funding?

No. Your long-term plan may call for several facilities, and we move you into them one at a time. Your advisor stays with you as the business moves toward its goal.

What if the business changes after closing?

Call your advisor early. The sooner we understand a change, the more options the business has.

Can I refinance later?

Often, yes. For many businesses that's part of the plan from the start: bring cash flow in now and line up a longer refinance for later.
